1. Usare regolarmente prodotti emollienti per la pelle (trattengono umidità e riducono la secchezza della cute).
2. Evitare il più possibile sostanze irritanti, come ad esempio saponi e detergenti (inclusi shampoo, bolle di sapone, gel per la doccia o altri liquidi per l’igiene).
3. Diluire i detersivi per la lavatrice, e risciacquare abbondantemente i vestiti.
4. Risciacquare accuratamente le mani quando si lavano con il sapone.
5. Indossare guanti quando si utilizzano detergenti per la pulizia della casa.
6. Preferire indumenti e biancheria di cotone, che non irritano la cute.
7. Proteggere la pelle quando ci si espone al sole, con una crema ad alta gradazione.
8. Arieggiare adeguatamente l’ambiente in cui si vive.
9. Evitare docce e bagni più lunghi di cinque minuti.
10. Lavarsi sempre con acqua tiepida, evitando le temperature alte.
